VAG Cam Follower Replacement Kit — EA113 2.0 TFSI & 1.8 TFSI

One of the most important preventative maintenance items on the EA113 engine. The cam follower (also known as the HPFP follower or tappet) sits between the high-pressure fuel pump and the camshaft lobe. On the EA113 platform, this component is known to wear rapidly — and if left unchecked, a worn follower can destroy the camshaft lobe and the fuel pump, resulting in a very expensive repair.

Inspect and replace at every service, or at a minimum every 10,000 miles. This kit includes everything you need to do the job correctly.

⚠️ Do not ignore cam follower wear. A worn follower left in place will damage the camshaft lobe — a repair that costs significantly more than this kit. If you're unsure of your follower's condition, inspect it now.
